Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center has appointed Melissa Pearl as its new Chief Risk and Compliance Officer. With more than 18 years of experience in healthcare compliance and operations, Pearl will provide executive leadership over enterprise risk management and regulatory readiness—strengthening ANHC’s commitment to patient safety, organizational resilience, and long-term sustainability.

ANHC recently hosted Tri-Cities Community Health for a site visit focused on our integrated behavioral health model. The visit highlighted shared challenges, collaborative learning, and the growing importance of whole-person care across Federally Qualified Health Centers.

This month, we’re proud to celebrate two major honors: our Referral Team received the Anchorage Project Access Health Care Champion Award for their extraordinary work connecting patients to specialty care, and Director of Clinical Operations Jason Korlaske was selected for the Alaska Primary Care Association Sockeye Award for his outstanding leadership and commitment to workforce development.

Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center proudly celebrates the first graduates of its Department of Labor Dental Assistant Training Program — made possible through Congressionally Directed Spending secured by Sen. Lisa Murkowski and supported by the Alaska Primary Care Association (APCA).

ANHC received a $5,000 grant from the Alaska Community Foundation, with support from the Rasmuson Foundation. This local investment will help ANHC purchase a new EKG machine—supporting efficient workflows, improved patient care, and Alaskans helping Alaskans live healthier lives.

Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center was recently honored by the Alaska Legislature with two formal legislative citations recognizing ANHC’s 50 years of community-centered care and the leadership of CEO Lisa Aquino.
