Randee Shafer

January 26, 2026

Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center (ANHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Randee Shafer, LCSW, as its new Chief Operations Officer.

A Leader with Deep Healthcare Operations Experience

Randee brings more than 29 years of healthcare and behavioral health leadership experience to ANHC, with a career rooted in strengthening systems that support both patient care and the people who provide it. Her background spans inpatient and hospital-based settings, crisis stabilization, residential and outpatient services, regulatory readiness, quality improvement, and workforce wellbeing initiatives—experience that positions her well to lead operational strategy in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.

Randee is also a familiar face to ANHC. Prior to stepping into the COO role, she served as a Behavioral Health Consultant at ANHC, working closely with behavioral health, medical, and nursing teams to support integrated, patient-centered care. That hands-on experience within the organization has given her a deep understanding of ANHC’s clinical model, operational workflows, and commitment to serving Anchorage’s diverse community.

A Vision for Strong, People-Centered Systems

“What excites me most about stepping into the COO role at ANHC is the opportunity to strengthen the systems that make compassionate, integrated care possible every day,” said Shafer. “When operations are aligned, reliable, and people-centered, teams can focus on what matters most—providing accessible, high-quality care to the community.”

Throughout her career, Randee has partnered with multidisciplinary teams to build sustainable programs, guide organizations through periods of change, and support staff resilience—particularly during times of increased demand and uncertainty. Her leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, clarity, and ensuring that operational decisions reflect an organization’s mission and values.

As COO, Randee will focus on operational alignment, efficiency, and long-term sustainability, while continuing to prioritize staff wellbeing and patient experience. Her appointment reflects ANHC’s ongoing commitment to strong leadership, integrated care, and organizational excellence.

ANHC looks forward to the experience, insight, and steady leadership Randee brings to the role as the organization continues to advance its mission of providing accessible, compassionate healthcare to the Anchorage community.
