Connecting with your healthcare provider online is a great way to get the health care you need from the comfort and safety of your home (or wherever you may be). Telehealth, or telemedicine, lets you connect with your doctor without having to go to their office. You can have a telehealth visit online using your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

What are the Benefits of Telehealth?

Having a telehealth visit is similar to a regular visit, except you’re in one location and your healthcare provider is in another. While face-to-face appointments may still be necessary at times, telehealth offers numerous advantages:

  • It reduces the risk of illness transmission by avoiding close contact.

  • You can connect with your healthcare provider from anywhere: be it your home, workplace, or even your car.

  • It saves time since there’s no need for travel, time off work, or arranging childcare.

  • You might secure appointments more swiftly.

  • Telehealth broadens your options, allowing you to consult with healthcare providers located farther away.
