January 5, 2026

Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center (ANHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Pearl as its new Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.

In this role, Melissa will provide executive leadership over ANHC’s risk management and compliance functions, supporting the organization’s commitment to patient safety, organizational resilience, and operational continuity in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

Strengthening Organizational Resilience

Melissa brings more than 18 years of experience in healthcare compliance and operations. Since joining ANHC in 2022, she has played a critical role in strengthening enterprise risk management, advancing compliance practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and preparedness across the organization. Her leadership has been especially instrumental during periods of heightened regulatory scrutiny and cybersecurity risk.

“What excites me most is the chance to move risk and compliance from a reactive function to a proactive, value-driven partner—leveraging IT and facilities oversight to strengthen security, reliability, and operational excellence across the organization,” said Pearl. “My focus is on ensuring ANHC remains prepared, transparent, and resilient—so our teams can continue delivering safe, high-quality care to the communities we serve.”

A Commitment to Patient Safety and Trust

This leadership appointment reflects ANHC’s proactive approach to navigating evolving regulatory requirements, protecting patient trust, and ensuring long-term sustainability. By elevating risk and compliance leadership, ANHC is strengthening its ability to anticipate challenges and respond effectively while staying grounded in its mission of providing integrated, compassionate care for all, regardless of ability to pay.

Please join ANHC in congratulating Melissa on her new role.
