Professional Interests & Specialties
I take a trauma-informed approach with the clients I work with. It is important for me to create a safe and supportive environment for patients to feel empowered in exploring thoughts, behaviors, and goals they want to work on.
I have specialized training in trauma-informed interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Counseling, and Solution Focused Care.
I have supported people in a wide variety of contexts, including residential care setting, community outreach for at-risk youth, primary care settings, and as a resource for the Alaska Native community.
Personal Interests
Getting outdoors and exploring the beautiful state of Alaska as much as I can, including hiking, camping, skiing, kayaking, and snowshoeing.
Traveling to new places and learning about different cultures.
Going to concerts, theater shows, and exploring museums.
Playing with my two dogs and tending to my ever-expanding plant/flower garden.
