Professional Interests & Specialties

  • I take a trauma-informed approach with the clients I work with. It is important for me to create a safe and supportive environment for patients to feel empowered in exploring thoughts, behaviors, and goals they want to work on.

  • I have specialized training in trauma-informed interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Counseling, and Solution Focused Care.

  • I have supported people in a wide variety of contexts, including residential care setting, community outreach for at-risk youth, primary care settings, and as a resource for the Alaska Native community.

Personal Interests

  • Getting outdoors and exploring the beautiful state of Alaska as much as I can, including hiking, camping, skiing, kayaking, and snowshoeing.

  • Traveling to new places and learning about different cultures.

  • Going to concerts, theater shows, and exploring museums.

  • Playing with my two dogs and tending to my ever-expanding plant/flower garden.
