About Our Board of Directors

ANHC is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board guides our organization, helping us to carry out our mission of providing integrated, compassionate, and high-quality health care, regardless of ability to pay.

Join the board of directors

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, ANHC’s Board of Directors represents the diversity of our community. Anyone is welcome to join, although a majority of members must be ANHC patients.

If you are an ANHC patient, you will bring a special perspective to your work as a board member. And whether or not you are a ANHC patient, the skills and experience you’ve gained as a member of our community will be a tremendous benefit to our organization.

  • ANHC’s Board is made up of between 11 and 17 members.

  • Board members are generally elected to serve 3-year terms, with a term limit of three consecutive terms. (Board members leaving the board due to the term limit will be re-eligible after one year.)

  • Board meetings are typically held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month. Board members may attend in person at ANHC or via Zoom.

  • Board responsibilities include selecting and evaluating the Chief Executive Officer, approving the annual budget, developing a strategic plan, evaluating ANHC’s performance, and reviewing policies and procedures.
