About Our Board of Directors
ANHC is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board guides our organization, helping us to carry out our mission of providing integrated, compassionate, and high-quality health care, regardless of ability to pay.
Join the board of directors
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, ANHC’s Board of Directors represents the diversity of our community. Anyone is welcome to join, although a majority of members must be ANHC patients.
If you are an ANHC patient, you will bring a special perspective to your work as a board member. And whether or not you are a ANHC patient, the skills and experience you’ve gained as a member of our community will be a tremendous benefit to our organization.

ANHC’s Board is made up of between 11 and 17 members.
Board members are generally elected to serve 3-year terms, with a term limit of three consecutive terms. (Board members leaving the board due to the term limit will be re-eligible after one year.)
Board meetings are typically held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month. Board members may attend in person at ANHC or via Zoom.
Board responsibilities include selecting and evaluating the Chief Executive Officer, approving the annual budget, developing a strategic plan, evaluating ANHC’s performance, and reviewing policies and procedures.
