SUMMARY OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to provide high quality medical services within the scope of family medicine which encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system and every disease entity. Responsible for the provision of comprehensive primary and preventive health care services to patients in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic or telehealth setting in collaboration with a physician.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience with a multi-specialty group whose patient population included a homeless, HIV positive patient and diverse populations is preferred. Interpersonal skills that demonstrate ability to effectively communicate and treat. Demonstrated competencies in dealing with all age groups.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE: Obtain and possess licensure in the State of Alaska as a Physician Assistant and unrestricted DEA certification, meet minimum CME requirements as per licensing board on a yearly basis and maintain CPR/BLS certification.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Bilingual preferred.
