Patient Financial Services Representative II - Billing / Coding
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for auditing, coding, printing and submitting of insurance claims on a daily basis. Assures claims are clean for the maximum reimbursement allowable. Proactively works unpaid accounts by contacting patients and third party payers. Audits system reports to identify any trends in charge posting errors or data integrity problems. Communicates effectively with management in regards to problem areas as well as offering possible solutions. Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, in a fast paced environment, and be available to work extra hours, including weekends as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or the equivalent and medical billing training. Three to five years’ experience in the medical billing field. CPC, NCICS, CHCS or other AAPC certification may be substituted in addition to experience. Must be able to use a ten-key and balance large columns of numbers. Must be detail oriented and proof own work for accuracy. Must have and maintain an excellent attendance record. Must have good customer service and telephone skills.
HIRING RANGE: $18.32 - $22.89
