What kind of organization is Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center?
ANHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center. This means that we receive an annual grant from the federal government to make health care affordable and accessible for every member of our community. We welcome patients of all ages who are insured, underinsured, and uninsured.
I'm worried I can't afford health care. What can I do?
ANHC provides health care for all, regardless of ability to pay.
What services does ANHC provide?

How do I become an ANHC patient?
First, complete the New Patient Packet and submit it via fax, email, or our secure Submit Documents page. Please call (907) 743-7200 if you would like the packet mailed to you.
What forms of insurance does ANHC accept?
ANHC accepts all forms of insurance, including private insurance, Denali KidCare, Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare.
What is the Sliding Fee Discount Program?
ANHC offers a sliding fee discount to patients with low to moderate levels of income. All patients, whether insured or uninsured, are eligible.

Is ANHC a walk-in clinic?
ANHC is not a walk-in clinic, although we do schedule same-day appointments. If you are a current patient, call (907) 743-7200 to find out same-day appointment availability. Our phone lines open at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
What happens if I'm late or I miss an appointment?
If you are late to an appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. We will do our best to see you, but scheduled appointments will take priority. You may end up with a long wait time.
How do I get a copy of my medical records?
To obtain a copy of your ANHC medical records, complete ANHC's Release of Information form. You can return the completed form via mail, fax, or our secure Submit Documents page.
Does ANHC have a patient portal?
Yes, we do! ANHC patients use a service called Luma Health to communicate with their care team. They use text messages and a secure patient portal to make appointments, check in upon arrival, complete paperwork, receive lab results, request prescription refills, and more.
