ANHC 2016 AND BEYOND | Living out our values
The Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center recently shared our 2016 annual report—and there was a lot to celebrate. We spent the year welcoming more than 3,400 new medical patients, and seeing a total of more than 13,000 people for care, through more than 52,000 visits. Our medical, dental, lab, x-ray and pharmacy teams were busier than ever.
For me, one of the most exciting things was the incredible diversity we saw coming through our doors. In 2016, we saw patients from every group imaginable. We translated 43 different languages, and were able to make connections that rose above race, gender, religion, age, or poverty level.
We have been part of the Anchorage community since 1974, and our organization is committed to our mission of improving wellness by providing high quality compassionate healthcare, regardless of ability to pay. We are also committed to providing an environment that is tolerant, inclusive, and free from any type of discrimination. Our mission, vision, and values make us who we are.
I would like to invite everyone to come and see what we’re about—to join us in our work to connect all community members with exceptional care and a healthcare team that treats you like family. Please take a moment to read through our annual report, and to check in on our Facebook page to let us know if you’ve had a great experience at ANHC that you’d like to share.
Thank you so much to every single person who has been a part of ANHC’s growth over the past years. And to those of you who haven’t gotten to know us yet, we’d like to welcome you to the family.
