PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Supports pharmacy operations under the supervision of the pharmacist.  This includes reading, computing charges, and entering prescriptions into computer system; receiving and storing incoming supplies; preparing labels; and other duties deemed necessary in daily pharmacy operations.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate or equivalent. One year related experience required.  Must have an Alaska pharmacy technician license.  Computer skills required.  Knowledge of prescription drugs and medical terminology desirable.  Must be accurate, versatile, dependable and a team player.  Bilingual skills a plus.

HIRING RANGE: $15.55 – $17.22

Patient Financial Services Representative I (Collections)

SUMMARY:  Proactively works unpaid accounts by contacting patients.  Effectively communicates with department in regards to problem areas and/or accounts.  Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be available to work extra hours, including weekends as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or the equivalent.  Prefer experience in a medical/dental environment.  Must be able to use a ten-key and balance large columns of numbers.  Must be detail oriented and proof own work for accuracy.  Must have and maintain an excellent attendance record, have good customer service and telephone skills.  Must be computer literate.

Behavioral Health Specialist

SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Specialist identifies triages and manages patients with medical and behavioral health problems within the primary care setting. In addition, the Behavioral Health Specialist will provide brief intervention strategies and will develop specific behavioral change plans for patients. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced Nurse Practitioner, LCSW or PhD/PsyD. Must be eligible to obtain unrestricted licensure in the state of Alaska. Minimum three years clinical experience preferred, ideally with culturally and socio-economically diverse populations.  Experience collaborating with medical providers strongly preferred.

PATIENT SERVICES REP

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for greeting all patients/visitors to the Center; providing information to patients and staff; checking patients in/out; verifying all demographics; notifying appropriate persons of messages and information, maintaining an orderly and clean waiting room area; and updating current days schedule in Medical Manager. 

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent required.  Requires two years customer service experience with handling of cash verifiable.  Experience in a medical or dental setting preferred.   Bilingual preferred.  Knowledge of standard medical/dental office policies and procedures.  Must be familiar with  medical terminology.  Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.  Must pass a background check.

Medical Director

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Medical Director is a senior level administrative position with responsibility for all clinical services at all ANHC sites. This responsibility includes the authority to oversee all aspects of health care delivery including planning, resource allocation, growth and development, regulatory compliance, quality, efficiency and the recruitment and supervision of all medical staff. This is a full time position with a flexible balance of clinical and administrative duties targeting an approximate time ratio of 70% administrative and 30% clinical. Clinical duties include inpatient and outpatient services as a primary care physician including on-call responsibilities where appropriate. The Medical Director is directly accountable to the ANHC Executive Director with collateral accountability to the Board of Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS
 Board Certification in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine
• Licensed or license eligible by the State of Alaska
• Must maintain an unrestricted license to practice in Alaska and maintain active privileges at the hospital 
• Proven ability in clinical practice
• Excellent writing and speaking communication skills
• A high energy level and the ability to follow projects through to completion
• Ability to build consensus and work in a team setting
• Strong conflict management, negotiation and persuasion skills, professional demeanor, attitude, and motivation is essential
• Commitment to delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health care
• An understanding of physician compensation systems
• Experience in a community health care environment is preferred
• An understanding of group Financial and Management operations.
• Ability to work as a member of a management team
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with medical staff, patients, clinical support and administrative staff.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school with MD, DO or equivalent degree.  Successful completion of ACGME accredited Family Practice Residency.  Board certified in Family Practice, Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.  Minimum of 5 years in clinical practice in a primary care group with 3-5 years in a leadership position.  Community health center experience is preferred.

PHYSICIAN

SUMMARY OF POSITION:  To provide primary medical care to patients.  Develops and maintains proficiency in delivery of primary care medical services. Cooperatively participates in the hospital call schedule.  Develops and maintains a working knowledge of basic CPR, anaphylaxis treatment, and emergency protocols.  Practices ethical conduct at all times during patient contact.  Maintains an effective professional and respective relationship with other members of the health care team.  Maintains current written collaborative relationship with collaborative midlevel practitioners.  

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited medical school.  Completion of U.S.G.M.E. approved Residency program.  Must have or be eligible to obtain an Alaska medical license.  Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
